1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature 3/4 cup light brown sugar 2 large eggs 1 1/2 cups mashed ripe bananas (about 3 medium) 1/3 cup whole milk 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan and set aside.
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to beat together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
Mix in the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Blend in the mashed bananas and vanilla extract until thoroughly combined.
Add in the dry ingredients and the milk, alternating between the two and mixing just until incorporated after each addition. Be careful not to overmix.
Pour the banana bread batter into your prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
Bake for 55-65 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean.
Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing and cooling completely on a wire rack before slicing and serving.
