Bryce Harper Has Bold Stance On His Future With Phillies

BY Robert j. matthews

Bryce Harper really likes playing for the Philadelphia Phillies.

His agent says he wants to stay with the team for a long time.

Scott Boras said on Wednesday that Harper wants to stay with the Phillies for his whole career and is open to signing a contract extension.

Bryce told me he wants to extend his contract and stay with the team for the rest of his career," Boras said, according to Scott Lauber of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

I've definitely told Dave that I believe Bryce is a key player for the team.

It's pretty clear that Harper will be a Phillie for a long time.

He is signed until 2031, which means he will be playing until he is 38 years old.

But he needs a new contract if he wants to keep playing into his 40s.
