Off-white Section Separator

Ingredients:

- 8 slices of bread (thick-sliced bread works best) - 3 eggs - 1 cup milk - 1 tsp vanilla extract - 1⁄4 tsp cinnamon - Butter or oil for cooking - Maple syrup for serving (optional)

Instructions:

Crack the eggs into a wide, shallow bowl and beat lightly until blended and frothy. Add in the milk, vanilla and cinnamon, whisking until fully combined.

Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-low heat. Add a knob of butter or small drizzle of oil to lightly coat the cooking surface.

Dip a slice of bread into the mixture, flipping to soak both sides evenly. Let any excess egg drip off, then place into the hot skillet.

Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until the bread is golden brown on both sides. Flip gently with a spatula.

Transfer the cooked French toast to a plate and repeat with remaining bread slices.

Serve right away with your choice of maple syrup, fresh fruit, a dusting of powdered sugar or a drizzle of honey.
