Jets Get Major Boost Ahead of Bills Game With Key Injury Absence
When the New York Jets play the Buffalo Bills in Week 1, they won't have to worry about Von Miller being there.
Miller was put on the reserve/PUP list by Buffalo. This means he will miss at least the first four games of the season.
That includes the first game of the season on September 11 on Monday Night Football.
Miller didn't play against the Jets twice last season because he tore his ACL in the second game.
In that game, the Jets were in the red zone when the Bills' best pass rusher made a strip sack that led to a loss.
The former Texas A&M star played in 11 games in 2022. He had eight sacks, 12 quarterback hits, and 10 tackles for loss.
Duane Brown, Laken Tomlinson, Connor McGovern, Alijah Vera-Tucker, and Mekhi Becton, who are all expected to start, have been practicing with each other before the game.
All summer, that hasn't been the case. During training camp, there were several starting spots up for grabs, and the team was also dealing with a number of illnesses.
Even in his first game, Miller made a difference for the Bills. Week 1 of 2022 was when he went crazy.
