Liga Mx Semifinals: Atleti Hosts Streaking América In First-leg Clash

BY Robert j. matthews

Atlético de San Luis is hosting América at Estadio Alfonso Lastras for the Liga MX semifinals starting tonight.

The Aguilas, who are the top-seeded team, have been undefeated on the road this season with a record of 5 wins, 3 losses, and 0 ties.

They have scored 14 goals and only allowed 7 goals against. Additionally, the Aguilas are currently on an 18-game unbeaten streak.

However, Atleti won't be scared after beating No. 2 Monterrey to make it to the Final Four with a well-organized strategy and a well-rounded offense.

The Tuneros won 1-0 against the Rayados at their home stadium and then tied 1-1 in the Sultana del Norte.

The 8th-seeded Potosinos need to win at home because a tie won't be enough.

If they tie, the higher-seeded América team will advance to the final.

So, the Potosinos will attack and rely on a strong defense.
