Due to the undisclosed cause for Angel Reese's absence from the LSU women's basketball team, Aneesah Morrow has significantly stepped up.
Following a stellar span of three games, she was selected as the ESPN Player of the Week.
Morrow opened the week against Texas Southern with 17 points, seven steals, and four rebounds, but in the Cayman Islands Classic, she elevated her performance.
She led the Tigers to a victory over Virginia with 16 rebounds and 37 points, in addition to a 10-rebound double-double with 28 points in a three-point victory over Niagara.
These numbers helped the Tigers close out their run in the archipelago.
Additionally, she received the Ann Myers Drysdale USBWA Player of the Week and SEC Player of the Week honors.
