2 oz white rum 1 oz orange Curacao 1 oz fresh lime juice 1⁄2 oz orgeat syrup 1⁄2 ripe mango, cubed Sprig of mint for garnish Cherry for garnish
In a blender, blend together the rum, Curacao, lime juice, orgeat syrup and mango cubes until smooth.
Pour the mix over ice into an old fashioned glass.
Garnish with a sprig of mint and a cherry.
Get very ripe, sweet mangoes. Ataulfo/Champagne mangoes are a great choice.
Adjust the sweetness to taste by adding more or less orgeat syrup to balance the tart lime.
Make it a frozen Mai Tai by blending with 1/2 cup ice until thick and slushy.
For a nice kick, float a bit of 151 proof rum on top.
