Michigan Football Offers Big Ten Transfer Player

BY Robert j. matthews

Michigan is becoming more active in the transfer portal.

The Wolverines haven't had any players enter the portal yet, but they recently offered two players and made another offer on Monday.

Donaven McCulley, a former quarterback and wide receiver for the Indiana Hoosiers, recently entered the transfer portal.

He has received scholarship offers from notable programs such as Penn State, NC State, South Carolina, and others.

McCulley finished his third year playing for the Hoosiers as a wide receiver. The tall playmaker joined Indiana in 2021 as a highly rated quarterback recruit.

McCulley did well in 2022, catching 16 passes for 169 yards and a score.

The junior player caught 48 passes for 644 yards and six scores for the Hoosiers.

McCulley is good at catching the ball and blocking as a receiver. He led the Indiana receivers with a 63.8 run-blocking grade, per PFF.

Cornelius Johnson had the highest run-blocking grade for Michigan this season, with a score of 63.9.

Michigan may need to find a new wide receiver in the transfer portal because they will be losing Cornelius Johnson and Roman Wilson this season.
