Steelers: Mason Rudolph Trade Rumors Starting

PITTSFIELD -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are pretty sure in their three starting quarterbacks, but Mason Rudolph will stay at the bottom of the depth chart for the whole 2023 season.

So, some people are starting to wonder if he could be moved, and the New England Patriots seem like a good fit.

Even though there are no rumors that the Patriots plan to call the Steelers, Christopher Kline of FanSided thinks it would be a great trade, especially for the Patriots.

The Steelers could hold on and focus on injury insurance — just ask the 49ers how important a third-string QB can be — but it's likely that teams around the league will be interested in Rudolph.

The Patriots should be the most interested team right now," Kline writes.

Bailey Zappe wasn't on the Patriots' main roster, so they signed him to their practice team instead.

After the Carolina Panthers cut Matt Corral, they picked him up, but that doesn't mean they won't keep looking for another backup.

Rudolph has started ten NFL games and has a 5-4-1 record. He has completed 236 of 384 passes for 2,366 yards, 16 touchdowns, and 11 picks.
